Hot Ones Data.

The show with hot questions and even hotter wings.

Idea

An example of where my data collection, creative production and digital design skills intersect. This side project demonstrates how brand data can be collected and packaged into hugely compelling content marketing initiatives.

Process

As an avid Hot Ones fan, what started as a fun side project — watching Hot Ones episodes and cataloguing the weird and wonderful elements of each episode — evolved into a major content marketing opportunity. A lot of video watching later and I'd compiled a unique set of data. This ranged from the obvious like episode success rates and Wall of Shame inductees, to the more obscure like the number of times Sean wore a hoodie to the number of guests impressed with the line of questioning.

Originally born as a Notion document, I eventually decided to create something custom to have complete control over the design and handling of data. Craft was once again more than up for the challenge, allowing me to quickly input all of the existing information and start to build out a more bespoke experience.

Outcome

Both the original document and the soon-to-be-launched website are to be maintained going forward, both as an example of content curation within Notion and as another side project to develop my design and development skills.
